Rest Proof Clockwork 1999

When I was at art college a friend suggested I showed my work to Warp Records. I knew very little about them at the time, but took his advice and showed them my work. Their office was above one of the student pubs in town. A month later, they commissioned me to create a record sleeve for Plaid‘s now seminal Rest Proof Clockwork LP. It was the first Summer I didn’t have to work in a factory to pay off my overdraft. Instead, I painted a picture of a monkey being an organ grinder.

Eleven years on, Warp have released a T-shirt based on the inner sleeve design as part of their classic album series. You can get them here. Take that Fatcher!
