When I was at art college a friend suggested I showed my work to Warp Records. I knew very little about them at the time, but took his advice and showed them my work. Their office was above one of the student pubs in town. A month later, they commissioned me to create a record sleeve for Plaid‘s now seminal Rest Proof Clockwork LP. It was the first Summer I didn’t have to work in a factory to pay off my overdraft. Instead, I painted a picture of a monkey being an organ grinder.
